The biggest verified media account on #Mastodon @arstechnica is also tracking the #Traffic coming via an URL-parameter.
But it is posting the header images of the articles as attachment. If you klick on them,
you won't get to the articles
(if you would, they wouldn't know the source) and the new author button doesn't work (https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2024/07/highlighting-journalism-on-mastodon/).
Without the attachment, this all would work.

With or without this fixed, I would really like to know how much traffic they get from #Mastodon/the #Fediverse 
@mediapart is doing this too.
