Just so you know: Of the more than 1300 verified journalists on in my table, less than half has been active since the beginning of the year. Only about 200 post daily:

That's another reason for my interest in federating and connecting the to : It just feels quieter here.

@mho @js it is definitely quieter. The full collapse of Twitter has not happened and now seems unlikely at all. However, the migration to other platforms continues, just at a much slower pace. Full federation with Bluesky and Threads will help that.

@chris @mho @js I’m not sure that I fully agree that Mastodon is “quieter” - my feed is overwhelming for how much stuff is in it.
But I definitely agree that BlueSky is definitely “louder“, and I think that’s the algorithmic nature of the way it’s laid out.

But I absolutely agree that bridging blue sky and mastodon would be great.
