Nice! Btw, are there plans to allow sizing apps differently than system tray icons? This is pretty important for traditional bottom-bar layouts
Rant time:
It’s unbelievable that Windows 11 does not recognize that I removed OneDrive and ms Teams. After one simple update or reboot, it always comes back. The CPU is constantly running at 100%, and I don’t have anything open except for Task Manager. This laptop is less than 24 hours old, and I’m already preparing to switch back to Pop!_OS in the next few days. I knew that Windows was terrible, but even after de-bloating the OS, I don’t feel or see a difference.

No luck with #virtualbox beta for #M3 #MacARM #arm Macs, trying the #popos #cosmic alpha or a standard #endeavouros iso. No issue running the latter iso on a Linux virtualbox.
@risottobias I agree with you. All I really want is a simple way to display an image (NOT put my computer to sleep pr into hibernation) if there is no activity for two or three minutes, until I touch a key or move the mouse. But it has to continue to send a signal to my display during that period, hence the desire to display an image. In researching this I discovered that this is called a "screensaver" and the #Gnome developers don't like them for some reason, so when you ask about such a thing you get told to just turn off the display using its power button (which is NOT the functionality I am seeking). I HATE being told I don't need what I asked for, and that I should just use some inferior solution.
If #PopOS and the #Cosmic desktop are half as good as they are aiming for whenever they finally make an actual release, I am switching over and the Gnome developers and their precious DE can rot as far as I am concerned.

Can any #Linux types offer assistance?
Trying to install #PopOS in UTM to give is a go before putting it on my old MacBook, but it never actually seems to install.
It goes through the processes, lets me create a user account, restarts. Then runs the installer again. So I ejected the .iso, but then it wouldn't boot.
Is this a fundamental misunderstanding on my part, or is UTM being a bit screwy?
Installing Pop!_os in my VM to give it a go. I'm sure this is perfectly normal, right?

Next on my distro experiments, gave #PopOS a try. And that looks like a contender! Alt-Tab works just how I like it out of the box, built-in support for monitor color profiles, and it even supports fractional UI scaling! No option to disable middle-click though.
I think I still prefer the #elementaryOS dock/plank and wingpanel. I certainly prefer elementary's icon set and theme colors. Despite my frustrations, elementary still seems to be the Linux closest to what I want.
