Dernier vestige d’une période si vivante dans les souvenirs des habitant•e•s rencontré•e•s. What are the golfers—surely Belgian or Luxembourgish, judging by the license plates seen during the walk—thinking at the edge of this image? I still cannot explain this fascination I have for this laid-down blast furnace. The last vestige of a period so vivid in the memories of the residents I met. [Some information about our project]: From January to June 2021, together with Nabila Halim, we will carry out a photographic and sound project with the residents of Longwy and students of Vauban Middle School, exploring the theme of migration. La ville de Longwy a une histoire intimement liée avec celle de la sidérurgie. Ville des luttes ouvrières, ville de migration. Il ne reste aujourd’hui presque plus de trace de cette histoire.  En découvrant cette ville pour la première, en arpentant ses chemins, je me suis posée beaucoup de questions :  Que pensent ceux et celles qui tous les jours ont vu sur le dernier haut fourneau ? Quel héritage porte t-on d’une ville ? De son lieu d’habitation ? Pourquoi est-il impossible de s’approcher du haut-fourneau ? Discovering this city for the first time, walking through its streets, I found myself asking many questions: What do those who have seen the last blast furnace every day think? What legacy do we carry from a city? From the place we live in? Why is it impossible to get close to the blast furnace? amandineturrihoelken[ARCHIVES] - English Below [Zone 54 - 11/12] C'est dans ce squat près de Paris, que j'ai eu la chance, grace à Franck, de rencontrer pour la première fois Emy et Le fils. Ils sont tous les trois des acteurs majeurs de ce projet, je n'aurais rien pu faire sans vous. Zone 54 est un documentaire collaboratif, photographique et sonore, réalisé de 2012 à 2017, en collaboration avec <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/emylatortue" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@emylatortue</a>, Le fils, Gaëtan, Ingrid et Mike. ~~~🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧~~~ It was in this squat near Paris that I had the chance, thanks to Franck, to meet Emy and Le fils for the first time. All three of them are major agent in this project, and I couldn't have done it without you.
