Every night after dinner, and clean up chores are done I sit down in my recliner. Usually, the only time of day I sit in front of a television. Watching TV isn't my favorite past time, but being close to Summer and my husband is.
Summer, on the other hand, loves television time. It takes her about three minutes to hop on my lap, give me a couple of kisses, and make herself comfortable. After a giant sigh she is asleep.
I still think at 68 lbs. she is pretty solid for a lap dog.
I let her stay until she completely cuts off the circulation to my legs.
She is just such a sweet dog I hate to make her move.
I am positive that petting her while she sleeps brings out my most relaxed grandma vibes.

I always stuff a leash in one of my jacket pockets, but unless there are other people around I let Summer run, and keep her under voice control.
Today, I decided to bring a walking stick so that meant that my hand wasn't in my pocket to keep the leash there.
I didn't notice, it was gone, until I saw some people heading our way.
The leash must have worked it's way out of my pocket.
We were going to need it so I sent Summer back to find where it fell.
I followed along but she found it before I did.
She always comes through, and is such a good girl.
