Guilty Gear XX

Daisuke Ishiwatari is the breathing soul behind the Guilty Gear 2D fighting series. Lead designer, he’s also been composing for the games since inception, up to this day. His metal and rock influences are heard, but also seen on the characters’ names, sense of fashion, and overall look-and-feel.

Some of the Guilty Gear characters have been known for introducing elements of genderfuckery in video games way before it was cool; ie. Bridget, whose story is one of a trans girl, initially seen as a crossdresser or an androgynous character, but who slowly realized her own identity and fully embraced it in the latest game of the series, Guilty Gear Strive.

Now I remember why I didn't listen to last year's #Nightwish album "Yesterwynde" so much. I like Floor's voice more than I ever liked Tarja's or Anette's. It's the songs. But I can't explain what's wrong. Maybe they are simply not for me.
