Alecat<p>I'm Ale - pronunciation: "Alley", pronouns: she/her.<br>Here are some things I'm into!</p><p><a href="https://aus.social/tags/gaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gaming</span></a> - I grew up on <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Nintendo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nintendo</span></a> mainstays, and now I'm particularly devoted to the newer <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Splatoon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Splatoon</span></a> series. In past lives, I was an event coordinator and tournament organiser.</p><p>I <a href="https://aus.social/tags/speedrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>speedrun</span></a>, the notable games are Untitled Goose Game and KeyWe - played co-op with my partner. You'll sometimes see me reference him in posts as "Nico", which is short for his handle Nicosar.</p><p>I'm an <a href="https://aus.social/tags/artist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>artist</span></a> and <a href="https://aus.social/tags/maker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>maker</span></a> - <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.art/@chenonetta" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>chenonetta</span></a></span> is where I'll show off <a href="https://aus.social/tags/watercolour" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>watercolour</span></a> art, <a href="https://aus.social/tags/lasercut" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lasercut</span></a> designs and whatever else I make.</p><p>Lately, I've been tinkering with <a href="https://aus.social/tags/electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electronics</span></a>, and building RGB lamps has become a great way of *actually* learning things that lecturers attempted to teach me many years ago during my computer systems degree. I'm trying to keep these projects simple but I keep getting ideas beyond my capabilities...</p><p>I work as a programmer where I find <a href="https://aus.social/tags/frontend" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>frontend</span></a> stuff most stimulating - not that I get to spin as much impractical <a href="https://aus.social/tags/css" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>css</span></a> as I'd like... dang cross-browser compatibility and maintainability concerns ;)</p><p>I've been dabbling on-and-off in hobby <a href="https://aus.social/tags/stenography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>stenography</span></a> using <a href="https://aus.social/tags/plover" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>plover</span></a>. It's still a topic of interest to me but I haven't put the time into practising it. Another keyboard that I'm out of practice with is the piano <a href="https://aus.social/tags/accordion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>accordion</span></a>, which I can say that I "play" as more a novelty than as a talent.</p><p>Hopefully this gives you a bit of insight to me! Thanks for reading :)</p>
