It's starting to get tiring discussing shows in a certain online community *cough*MDL*cough* because more often than not, the people who join the discussions are emotionally charged.

I mean, remember book club meetings? We sat together to discuss the current book of the month. How did we do these discussions? We put ourselves in the shoes of the characters—what ticks them, why they do this and that, how do they think, and so on. Which in turn helped us unlock or understand the mind of the author. We don't let our own standards and emotions in. We don't look at any of it from an observer's standpoint.

Where are the people who were capable of deep and meaningful discussions in *cough*MyDramaList*cough* went to?

This drama was filmed long ago that Liu Xueyi looks unrecognizable . Apparently rumors are that it will air in April. (I will believe it when I see it. This same rumour appeared repeatedly last year lol) They reshot it with a new actress. The original lead actress Yuan Bingyuan didn't pay her taxes so was cancelled

Then Cupid of Chou Dynasty might be for you!

An interesting moment in SCARLET HEART: GORYEO where soldiers hail the newly crowned king of Goryeo with “Man sé, man sé, man man sé” and I remember seeing this before in a #cdrama set in the Song Dynasty (which was BTW in the same era) where the court closed their session by hailing Emperor Renzong with “Wan swi, wan swi, wan wan swi!”

I know when I type it out it doesn’t seem that similar but it really is. #kdrama #kdramas

I'm a recovering tweep, having moved to the fediverse a fortnight ago and am noticing more detail in the culture shock. For example; moving to a too-fast instance is/was a symptom... or following accounts with thousands of followers but only a handful of followed. I realise now, these accounts by their nature mean I'm being tooted 'at' rather than 'to'. I do better in environments where I can be human.
