Well, asking individual accounts on or to turn on federation or following the account of yields some positive results. But more often than not, there's no reaction. And this does not exactly scale either.

Any idea how to get way more connections between the two networks and the & ?

Martin Holland

Searching on and for accounts, who should be visible in and the makes me realize, how much more lively, diverse and frankly fun both networks seem to be. Would like to see more of that here, too.

@mho
What is it in your experience that makes these networks more fun than Mastodon?
I haven't tried either, so I have no idea...

@mho people from #threads and #bluesky are always welcome in the #fediverse!

They can sign up with a real fediverse service and enjoy free and open source software that doesnt sell their data. Awesome!

Here's a list of fediverse instances that are free: fedipact.veganism.social/

fedipact.veganism.social#Fedipact - The instances blocking Zuckerberg's Threads.netAn interactive list to see which ActivityPub (Matodon, Lemmy, FireFish, etc) instances are federating with Threads.net

Agree. I've pretty much stopped using my Mastodon account these days, but would like me some #Threads in my feed without having to stoop to actually creating a Threads account! ;)

@mho problem is that its a selfsustaining effect; hard to convince people to put effort into a network that is perceived to be less fun/active than the others.

And yeah, I definitely relate to your observation as well

@mho my experience here is pretty good. Interesting posts, not too much. I tried out Bluesky and was quickly annoyed. There are more posts presented to me, but it's just more crap I don't like. Didn't try Threads. So I wonder what makes them more fun and interesting to you?

@mho the URL seems to be broken. It says that the content I'm looking for doesn't exist.

@duco
That's strange. It's another answer to a similar question saying:
The content seems more lighthearted and way more diverse. On for example, there is so much more content regarding the , on I found so much comicbook-artists, who have migrated there and not here.
