I'll do it again in #english, maybe it is of interest for others too:
@heiseonline is on of the biggest official accounts on #Mastodon by a german media organization. It's now a year old and I had a look into the ~62k followers. Turns out, that federation in the #fediverse seems to work: Less than a fourth are from mastodon.social, the rest are on more than 1900 different instances.

Here is another illustration of the instances, showing how dominating mastodon.social still ist.
There are aboute 60 instances, where there are more than 100 followers from @heiseonline. More than 1200 instances have only one follower.
If you take the creation date of the accounts following @heiseonline, there is a clear peak in the 4th quarter of 2022 (#TwitterTakeover), since then, there is visible stability: More than 5000 follower where created in each quarter.
If you just take the months and limit them to 2022 and 2023, you see the big peak in November (roughly a third was created then) and the slowdon in summer 2023.
Finally the follower by software of their instance: Almost all are from #Mastodon, only from #firefish and #pixelfed are each more than 100. On fourth place is already a bridge for the #TwitterAlternative #Nostr, whch itself is not part of the #fediverse.

Thank you for that work! Will dig into all of it!
To get such data, you don't even need to control the account, it can be grabbed via the API:
@mho if you're interested, I looked at a heavily reposted toot of mine - it made its way to 2,547 domains!
