Twitter Blue subscribers can now hide their blue checks | #TheVerge
#TwitterBlue, which #ElonMusk is currently rebranding to €X Blue, now includes the option to hide the notorious #BlueCheckmark. Twitter Blue subscribers recently started noticing the “hide your blue checkmark” option on the web and in mobile apps, offering the ability to hide that they’re paying for #Twitter and avoid memes about how “this mf paid for twitter.”

@mho It's quite something to pay $8/mo for the verificiation badge only to want to hide the verification.
I mean, I can talk at length at all the bad decisions since Musk's takeover, but that would take too much to go over and fully process it all. Plus, it would mean I actually put more thought into Musk's decisions than he has, and... nah
@MugsysRapSheet @mho while I appreciate your viewpoint, I doubt Elon Musk is afraid of being sued given all Twitter lawsuits from not paying employees and from companies for not paying bills etc.
@mho Now anybody could be paying for Blue! They are among us (well, them).
"I wrote the "hide the logo" code, I'll be able to tell my grandchildren about it."
@mho @BlackAzizAnansi It’s great to see this, I was briefly worried that they didn’t have a coherent business plan, or indeed any plan at all
@mho The badge of authenticity is now the badge of shame.
@SirNapalot @mho
I'm a little surprised he isn't charging extra to hide it
@mho, they should avoid writing long posts too, then. There are probably more signs that someone is a subscriber.
@mho Marking the marks, only worthwhile Elmo change, ended.

Twitter has always been complete garbage, doesn't matter who owns it.
